EASTER
EGG BONE HUNT - April 15, 2006
A
beautiful spring day, lots of happy dogs, good eats and treats, and
lots of laughter. That describes our first Easter Egg/Bone Hunt.
Thanks to all that came out to share in the fun! Doggie parents
were very patient, as they helped their furry kids understand what they
were supposed to do during the hunt. The kids caught on quickly,
as they picked up yummy biscuits and nosed or pawed colorful plastic
eggs filled with prizes. After the hunt, we had many folks taking
photos of their dogs with our Godfrey Easter puppy. Five winners have
their photos posted on this page. More photos of the event to
follow. Many dogs won shopping discounts to be redeemed on or before
April 30, 2006. Hope all you canines pick out something you really want
for yourself!
The
animal welfare organization we chose to collect for on this event day
was once again Noah's Wish, a
non-profit organization that helps animals stay alive during disasters.
Thanks to all who contributed. We raised $59.41!

Annie Hill, miniature schnauzer -
Of
the occasion, she said "I finally found a rabbit I wanted
to cuddle with and not chase out of the yard!"
Annie's
mom is Diane Hill.

Of
the occasion, Codi said "I had a fabulous, very yummy time!
My cousin Breezy (who also attended) wants mom to buy more of
those great biscuits."

Joey Diehm, golden retriever -
We're
so glad Joey's grandmommy, Sherry Diehm, invited Joey and her
mom, Jackie Diehm, to the Easter egg/bone hunt! Joey's comments
about the event were "I loved the yummy treats I found in
the Godfrey's Easter Egg and Bone Hunt! I also loved meeting
the Easter puppy! I hope to do it again next year! Thank you very
much. We had a great time."
