Here's what's happening for you and your dog...

ALL DAY:

In-store "Pumpkin Hunt" Find a little "smiley-face" pumpkin or gourd hidden in the store-get a prize!

Bring your dog out? All dogs visiting us will receive a Trick or Treat bag of our great goodies, whether they are dressed in costume or not... No "Tricks" required!

Bring your dog out in costume? Yea! We love costumed dogs! AND you'll get 5% off your total purchases (excludes food and the day's visiting vendors). PLUS you'll be entered into our Drawing to win a $15 Godfrey's Gift Certificate!

Stop out today to meet Jennifer DeLong, certified equine and canine therapeutic massage therapist and owner of DeLong Therapeutic Massage. Jenn schedules appointments regularly at Godfrey's on Thursday evenings and Saturdays...for dogs, of course, not horses :). "Meet - Measure -Mingle" Apparel Event by Bel Bijoux

Bel Bijoux is comprised of a Maribel and Jana Nieves creating one of a kind couture for people and pets. Inspiration stems from classic to modern fashion in all styles. Buying "off the rack" based on standard breed measurements works for many pure bred dogs as well as many others, but it doesn't work for all dogs, especially those that are mixed breeds. Finding a great fit can be daunting! That's why we want to introduce you to these two ladies who are making custom high quality outerwear. Whenever possible, Bel Bijoux creates eco-friendly pieces by redesigning the finest fabrics and Embellishments. Bel Bijoux Couture designs have debuted in a national television spot on NAT GEO WILD show Spoiled Rotten Pets, "The Barking Bride." They have also been featured on local 69 NEWS. These ladies are coming to us from Allentown.

What we like about their work, too, is that while it is stylish, it's not "over the edge." It's classy style at a reasonable price! No matter what style you and your dog prefer, from classic to alternative, Bel Bijoux will make it for you.

Maribel and Jana will be taking key size measurements for your dog and we'll keep those measurements on file here at Godfrey's to help with future needs, like harness fittings. And if you order a custom piece from them on this day, you will receive a special "Fall Fest" price! Orders taken will come back to Godfrey's for pick-up by you in 3 weeks. They'll also be bringing some of their stock inventory for purchase that day!

Sat., Nov. 23, 11am-3pm: "Ambassador Dogs" - Book Signing Event by author Lisa Loeb and yes, her rescued white cock-o-poo,Layla, will be attending, too!    

We've chosen this book event in honor of all of those dogs living and past who we are so thankful to have in our lives as we celebrate this Thanksgiving season....

Here's the write-up about Lisa's book:

Thanksgiving buffet sampler for all of our beloved cbaibne customers. The buffet table will be filled with all of the yummy, nutritious foods and treats we sell here at Godfrey's.

She's offering something for every dog, no matter what level of skills and abilities your dog has. Class sizes are limited at Godfrey's so that everyone gets the time and attention they need.

"LEVEL 3-AROUND TOWN": STARTS TUES, OCT. 22, 7:15pm
Learn skills to work with your dog around distractions when you go out into the world. This class will continue to work on the skills from previous levels with the addition of more distractions. At this level, the goal is to help you and your canine companion prepare to go anywhere together. Six weeks. Prerequisite: Canine Companion 2 or instructor permission.

"JUST GOT HOME" Specialty Class: STARTS WED., OCT. 23, 6PM
Not everyone wants a puppy, and getting an older dog is a great choice; however, these dogs may need to learn or brush up on some skills that will make them pleasures to live with. In this class we’ll cover “pre-training” skills such as name response, orienting to handler, watch me, wait/impulse control, drop it/trade, leave it, crate training and games, and targeting. Six weeks. For newly or recently acquired dogs ages six months or older.

"FLYBALL" STARTS WED., OCT. 23, 7:15PM
Controlled Chaos! Drag racing for dogs! These are phrases that have been used to describe the sport of flyball. Dogs race down over jumps, trigger a spring loaded box to release a ball, and return over the jumps with the ball to their handler along with three other dogs on their team. Lots of fun training your dog to work with you in the midst of lots of distractions. Six weeks. Prerequisites: Dogs MUST be dog and human friendly. A good recall is needed as well.

Can't get your dog to our park because it's raining or too cold for you to be out there for an hour? Or maybe you yourself are recovering from an injury and can't get your dog out for his or her walk? Perhaps you have a need to keep your dog in shape for agility or other dog sports? Or your dog simply is going nuts staying indoors so much?

Then schedule your dog for an indoor exercise session with Nicole here at Godfrey's.

With some time on our canine treadmill and some exercises on our FitPAWs® canine equiment your dog will get the exercise and stimulation needed. Give her at call at Godfrey's at 610-777-5755 to arrange it! She's in Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Saturday for appointments to work with you and your dog in the Conditioning Center.
