He immediately saw a need to assist families assimilate a new dog as a valuable member of the family unit. His passion and interest in helping them took off.

11am-3pm: "Evermore" Food Representative  Free samples for your dog!

Evermore is an independent company founded by two Brooklyn NY ladies, Hanna and Alison, who wanted to provide an alternative food in the marketplace for dogs. Their idea was to create a fresh, healthy, and gently-cooked food. They believe we should feed our dogs the way we feed ourselves. Hanna and Alison ate their fresh dog food every day for 1 month to stand behind their claims of integrity and "human-grade" ingredients. They filmed it each day via "live feed" and this received tons of media attention. The food looks and smells terrific; Lake and Charlie love it!

Serve it as a complete meal or as a healthy topper on dry food. Look for it in our freezer.

They pride themselves on the ingredients: grass-fed, antibiotic-and hormone-free humanely raised beef, antibiotic-free humanely raised chicken, free range eggs and more!

So come out and meet Hanna's Mom, Ruth. She might even eat some herself that day! She said she likes the liver in the foods. Wow!

Meet the Rescues: There are a few great local rescues who are dedicated to responsibly rehoming dogs by accepting them into their program and placing them in foster homes until "forever homes" are found. We think you need to know about these groups, who work tirelessly to keep dogs alive, rather than place them in shelters where their time on this earth is limited. We are glad they are joining us for our Fall Fest:

11am-3pm: "Mostly Mutts" Rescue - Saving Mixed Breed Dogs via Foster Homes

Based in Pottstown, PA

11am-3pm: "Zoe's House" Rescue via Foster Homes-Based in Sinking Spring, PA

Come out and meet rescue volunteers and dogs from these local rescues. Help them keep precious lives alive!

11am-2pm: Meet Linda Althenn, Proprietor of Cold Noses- Fuzzy Faces Farm

She offers a comfortable, safe, kennel-free alternative to boarding!

From Linda: "Cold Noses Cuisine/Fuzzy Faces Farm was born in my country farmhouse in 2003 as a canine wholesale bakery. Shortly thereafter I opened a dog-sitting component, and designed my services to be exclusively for dogs and the people who love them.

I offer tail-wagging experiences, which includes an acre of fenced property, for fun, frolic, exercise, play, and includes a puppy pool for warm summer days. Each canine guest becomes a part of my family, as I allow free roam in my home, cozy dog beds and couches for sleep and rest, catering to their needs and dispensing medication (if needed). When you leave your furry children with me, you can have peace of mind knowing they will receive expert care, in a comfortable environment, fun, love, belly rubs, and hugs. I am continually working to enhance my skills, canine insight, services and quality of care to better serve my furry clients and the people who love them."

       Training Classes

Rolling Enrollment - Start when you are Ready - Work on the Skills Your Dog Needs the Most!

Bring out your dog's "best behavior" for the upcoming holidays!

HOW OUR CLASSES ARE DIFFERENT

We designed our basic obedience classes to meet the needs of today's active family lifestyle.  Gone are the days of having a rigid schedule for classes.  With our system, you purchases a block of classes, six per block, and you can attend a class when it meets your needs.  For the classes to be effective for you and your dog, we ask that you use the classes within 10 weeks.  This way, if you cannot make a Monday class, for example, you can come to class on Wednesday night instead as long as you let us know in advance.  If you have a vacation scheduled, no problem, just join us when you get back.  With this system, you can start and/or end at any time.  You can come twice per week if you and your dog are making great progress. No more waiting for classes to start in 5 weeks!

You no longer have to forfeit classes because you could not make it for some reason.  The only way to forfeit classes is if you do not finish in the 10 weeks allotted, or you sign up for a class and do not give us a 24 hour notice that you cannot be there.

Classes will have a maximum of 6 dogs, but 4-5 is our preferred size.  We will not run a class unless we have a minimum 3 dogs attend.

There will be an introductory Orientation Session that must be attended before you can start Obedience training classes at Godfrey's.  This class will be informational explaining clicker training, our process, our curriculum explained, your equipment needed, and the opportunity to enroll.  You should not bring your dog to the class, but you may bring any family members that will be training the dog, in fact we recommend the entire family attend!

Note: Orientation is not required to start our Puppy Socialization class.

Visit www.difk9.com to find out for the complete schedule. Not sure what class you want to take? Email Pat at training@difk9.com and talk about it! He offers something for every dog, no matter what level of skills and abilities your dog has. Class sizes are limited at Godfrey's so that everyone gets the time and attention they need. For dog sports, Dede is ready to get you started in Nose Work and Flyball.  Check it out!

Help Us Spread the Word - Let 'Em Know

that

"Dog is Family"

Have you spotted a "DIF" sticker on the road? Let us know!

Stay tuned to our cable TV Show on BCTV:  "Dog is Family" underwritten by Godfrey's. The show broadcast LIVE on the second Thursday evening of every month at 7-7:30pm.

There's a difference in attitude and lifestyle when dog is truly considered family. We don't abandon them in old age...we never abandon them. We want them with us every day and there for all times in our daily lives. We want to do the best we can do for them, each day and in every way.

Let our community around town know how you feel. Spread the word; there's a "DIF"ference when dogs are family. At Godfrey's, we reflect that sentiment and hope you share it with us.

Our stickers sell for $1.99.  $1 from each sale is donated to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the nation's largest sanctuary for abused and neglected animals, where animals can live out their lives in peace and with love.
